Located on 10th Street NW just off Highway 14 in Pequot Lakes, this DNR-assisted boat ramp provides convenient access to Loon Lake, a 1,095-acre lake with 14 miles of shoreline. The concrete plank ramp is equipped with a roll-in dock and ADA-compliant access, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The lake features a firm, sandy bottom with a maximum depth of 202 feet, offering stable conditions for paddling.
Loon Lake is known for its calm, quiet character—ideal for recreational paddling and fishing. The sandy lake bottom allows for wading near the ramp area, and paddlers can expect relatively peaceful conditions suitable for leisurely trips. The lake supports populations of bluegill, crappie, bass, northern pike, and bullhead, making it popular with anglers as well. With minimal development (only 1 campsite on the lake), this is a good choice for those seeking a quieter paddling experience in Minnesota's lake country.
