About This Access Site
The Loon Lake East boat ramp provides access to a large, scenic 1,095-acre inland lake in Jackson County. The ramp is conveniently located on 10th Street NW near Highway 14 and features a concrete plank design with a roll-in dock, making it suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. The ramp also includes an ADA-compliant dock nearby for easier water access.

Loon Lake offers excellent paddling conditions with a sandy bottom and relatively calm waters. The lake has a maximum depth of 202 feet with 14 miles of shoreline, providing plenty of room for exploration. The sandy bottom near the ramp allows for easy wading, and the lake is known for being peaceful and quiet, making it ideal for both recreational paddling and fishing. Fish species include bluegill, crappie, bass, northern pike, and bullhead, so this is a good option for anglers as well as paddlers.
