About This Access Site
The Loop 360 Boat Ramp provides convenient access to Lake Austin, a constant-level impoundment of the Colorado River located directly below the Pennybacker Bridge in Austin. This three-acre Travis County Parks facility is specifically designed for launching and retrieving watercraft, making it an ideal put-in point for kayakers and canoeists exploring Lake Austin. The ramp entrance is on the east side of Loop 360, directly below the bridge.

Lake Austin offers relatively calm, controlled water conditions since it's a constant-level lake rather than a flowing river section, making it suitable for paddlers of various skill levels. Before visiting, check with the Travis County Parks Department for current conditions, hours of operation, and any applicable fees or permits.
