About This Access Site
Lost Lake is a 107-acre, clear-water lake located in the Chippewa National Forest near Bigfork in northern Minnesota. The boat ramp is a concrete structure approximately 16 feet wide, suitable for small to medium-sized watercraft including jon boats and bass boats. Parking is available in a gravel lot accommodating 10-12 vehicles with trailers, with additional roadside parking nearby. The lake's maximum depth of 44 feet and clear water make it suitable for paddling and fishing opportunities.

The access area includes a picnic pavilion with tables and a grill, restrooms, and trash facilities, though potable water and electric hookups are not available. The nearby Lost Lake Campground offers 15 campsites for overnight stays ($16 per night; call 218-246-2123 for reservations). To reach the ramp from Grand Rapids, take Minnesota State Highway 38 north to Marcell, turn right on County Road 45, continue five miles east, then travel three miles north on Forest Road 2181. The remote location in the National Forest means limited cell service, offering a quieter paddling and fishing experience.
