About This Access Site
The Lower Monitor access site provides boat ramp access to the Wenatchee River near Monitor in Chelan County. This is a popular put-in and take-out point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters using this section of the river. The ramp features a somewhat tight approach that requires careful maneuvering—hug the right shoreline and reeds, then angle toward the break to access the launch. If you're unfamiliar with this take-out, scout it during shuttle setup to familiarize yourself with the approach.

**Before launching, check current river conditions.** The Wenatchee River's flows and levels can change rapidly depending on snowmelt and dam releases. Current conditions are monitored online at Wenatchee Riverfront Park. Be aware of the elevation at the ramp bottom, which can vary seasonally and affect launch and retrieval difficulty. Plan your trip accordingly based on your skill level and equipment type, especially for paddlers running this section for the first time.
