Lower Spring Lake is a small 8-acre lake in Palmyra, Jefferson County, offering electric motor-only boating and excellent paddling opportunities for kayaks and canoes. The public access features a paved boat ramp with a 6% slope and boarding dock, with parking for 8 car/trailer units. With a maximum depth of 24 feet and clear water conditions, this lake is ideal for quieter recreational paddling and fishing.
**Access Details & Restrictions:** The ramp has adequate launch depth (>3 ft) and includes a fishing pier. Note that the site is not ADA accessible. Electric motors only are permitted—gas-powered boats are prohibited. A daily launch fee of $5 applies (seasonal pass $20). Due to reports of shallow water conditions in some areas, paddlers should be cautious when launching, particularly with larger watercraft. The lake supports northern pike, largemouth bass, and bluegill populations, making it a popular spot for anglers as well.
