Lucerne Campground

Lucerne Campground is a boat-in facility on Lake Chelan's north arm, located approximately 40 miles by water from the City of Chelan. The site features a dock and boat basin with capacity for eleven boats, managed by the Forest Service and situated adjacent to the Lucerne Guard Station. A ¼-mile trail connects to nearby Refrigerator Harbor Campground and the road to Holden Village, offering access to additional recreation opportunities in this remote area of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest.

**Important Access Information:** Day use only—overnight camping is prohibited at this site. From May 1 – October 31, a Federal Dock Site Boat Permit is required ($10/day or $75/season) and must be pre-purchased before docking. There are no road connections to Lucerne; access is exclusively by personal boat or the commercial Lady of the Lake ferry service from Chelan, which stops at Lucerne as part of its regular schedule to Stehekin. Alternative launch points include Twenty-Five Mile Creek State Park (approximately 25 miles downlake). Several reservable campgrounds are available nearby, including Lakeview and Purple Point campgrounds.
