About This Access Site
Nestled in the picturesque Eastern Sierra mountains, Lundy Lake offers a serene setting for kayakers, canoeists, and small boaters. This long, narrow lake is fed by mountain streams and is stocked regularly with trout, making it a popular fishing destination.

The Lundy Lake access site features a boat ramp, allowing easy launch for small watercraft. With ample shoreline access, the lake is well-suited for paddling and exploring. Visitors should note that the campground and facilities at Trumbull Lake, located nearby, are reservable through Recreation.gov. While the Lundy Lake access area is open to the public, there may be limited parking for vehicles with trailers. This campground contains several single-family sites, a few double sites and one triple site, all with picnic tables, food storage lockers and campfire rings with grills. The campground is situated on the shores of quiet Trumbull Lake, a 100-acre lake surrounded by towering peaks and glacier-carved cirques. A dense forest of lodgepole pine covers the campground, providing ample shade in most campsites. Aspens and summer wildflowers dot the landscape.
Nearby Attractions
The Virginia Lakes area is very close, offering additional canoeing and fishing. The Virginia Lake Trail, for hiking and horseback riding, provides access into the adjacent Hoover Wilderness Area and Yosemite National Park. Bodie State Park.
