About This Access Site
The Lura Lake East access is a DNR-owned public boat ramp located in the easternmost basin of Lura Lake near Mapleton in Blue Earth County. This access point provides a convenient launching location for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The ramp can accommodate boats up to 12-18 feet, though capacity may vary. There are no launch fees at this DNR access site.

Lura Lake is a 93-acre lake with four public access points total, making it well-suited for paddlers exploring different areas of the water body. The lake is primarily managed for Northern Pike and Walleye fishing, with secondary species including Black Crappie, Bluegill, Largemouth Bass, and Yellow Perch. Paddlers should be aware that Eurasian watermilfoil was documented in the lake in 2004. If you need additional amenities like camping, restrooms, or facilities, Daly Park (which contains two additional accesses) offers 86 mobile campsites with electricity, shower houses, a swimming beach, and hiking trails nearby.
