The Lura Lake Sports Club operates a public boat launch on the south basin of Lura Lake in Amboy, Blue Earth County. This access point accommodates boats up to 12-18 feet, making it suitable for small motorboats, canoes, and kayaks. As one of four public accesses on the lake, this launch provides reliable entry to the water body.
Lura Lake is a multi-basin lake primarily managed for Northern Pike and Walleye, with secondary populations of Black Crappie, Bluegill, Largemouth Bass, and Yellow Perch. Paddlers should be aware that Eurasian watermilfoil was documented in the lake in 2004. There are no launch fees at this access point. For current conditions or additional information about the site, check Minnesota's Lake Finder database or contact the Lura Lake Sportsman's Club directly.
