Located in Galeton, Potter County, Lyman Run State Park offers public access to 43-45 acre Lyman Run Reservoir via a dedicated boat ramp and courtesy dock. The launch facility includes a mooring area with capacity for 60 boats, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and larger motorized vessels. If you don't have your own boat, rentals are available at the bathhouse near the lake.
To reach the park from the west on Route 6 East, take Route 44 South toward Cherry Springs, then follow West Branch Road to Lyman Run Road. The calm waters of this small reservoir make it an accessible paddling destination for paddlers of all skill levels, and the developed park facilities provide convenient amenities for a day outing. Contact Potter County or the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources for specific information about launch hours, fees, and current conditions.
