Lynn Creek Park #2 provides convenient public access to Joe Pool Lake, a 7,400-acre impoundment in the southern Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The facility features two boat ramps with eight total lanes, making it suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and larger recreational vessels. A circular drive connects the ramps to a spacious parking area that can accommodate approximately 100 vehicles with trailers. There is no additional charge for using the boat ramps; however, a $10 park entrance fee applies. For gate hours, contact the City of Grand Prairie at (817) 467-2104.
The park offers ample amenities beyond water access, including a white sand swimming beach, restrooms, showers, picnic areas, and natural surface trails. A privately-operated full-service marina is located adjacent to the park and provides additional services; call (817) 640-4200 for marina-specific information. The park is easily accessible from I-20 by heading south on Great Southwest Parkway and west on Lake Ridge Parkway—the entrance is on the north side of the road just before Lynn Creek Marina. This makes Lynn Creek Park #2 a well-equipped day-use destination for water recreation in the region.
