Lynx Lake 2

Located in Presque Isle, Vilas County, this public boat landing provides access to Lynx Lake, a 307-acre lake with excellent water clarity. The lake features a maximum depth of 48 feet and a mean depth of 18 feet, making it suitable for kayaking, canoeing, and motorized boating. A gravel ramp is available for launching boats of various sizes.

The lake supports a healthy population of warm and cool water fish, including walleye, northern pike, musky, largemouth and smallmouth bass, and panfish. Paddlers should be prepared for potential encounters with motorized traffic. Nearby camping is available at Pomeroy Lake Camp and Moosehead Lake Camp, both located within 10 miles. Pomeroy Lake Camp operates on a first-come, first-served basis, with payment available through the Recreation.gov mobile app's Scan and Pay feature.
