Lyons Ferry Marina is a day-use boat ramp located at the confluence of the Snake and Palouse rivers in Perry, Franklin County. This access point launches onto Lake Herbert G. West on the Snake River, a major waterway (Stream Order 9) with significant flow averaging nearly 50,000 cubic feet per second. The Snake River descends steeply through this region with an average gradient of 15.8 feet per mile, so paddlers should be prepared for moderate current and water conditions typical of a large, flowing river system.
The park provides convenient facilities for paddlers and boaters, including a dedicated boat launch with 60 feet of dock space and 13 boat tie-offs along the shoreline. Amenities include modern restrooms with hot showers, accessible facilities, ample parking for vehicles and boat trailers, picnic areas under shade trees, and scenic views of the Ice Age flood-carved landscape. As a day-use facility, Lyons Ferry is ideal for launching kayaks, canoes, and small boats for exploration of the Snake and Palouse river confluence area.
