About This Access Site
Maiden Lake is a 269-acre public access lake located in Mountain, Oconto County, offering a public boat ramp on the northwest corner for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The lake features very clear water and reaches a maximum depth of 52 feet, making it suitable for various water activities. The ramp provides straightforward launch and retrieval access for paddlers looking to explore this moderately sized inland lake.

The lake supports a healthy fishery including panfish, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and walleye. Note that loitering, swimming, diving, and fishing are prohibited at the boat ramp and pier area itself—these activities are only permitted elsewhere on the lake. The ramp is intended for launch and removal only; extended docking is not allowed.

Boot Lake Campground is available within 10 miles if you're planning an overnight trip in the area. Given the lake's size and clear water conditions, it's a good option for a day paddle or recreational boating outing in northeastern Wisconsin.
