Maiden Rock

Maiden Rock is a county-managed boat launch located at the eastern end of Spirit Lake on Nautical Loop Road in Kootenai County. This gravel ramp provides access to Idaho's scenic mountain lake and is best suited for small watercraft, including kayaks and canoes. The short launch pad extends into shallow water, making it unsuitable for larger boats with deep drafts.

**What to Expect:** The facility features a tree-lined driveway leading to the launch, a boat dock, and parking areas. However, parking is very limited, and visitors should be prepared for a potentially longer walk between parking and the launch point after loading their boat. The gravel surface is typical for this type of access point. This location works well for paddlers launching smaller recreational vessels but may feel crowded during peak use times due to space constraints.
