About This Access Site
Mallard Park is a small public boat ramp facility located on the southeast shore of Lavon Lake near Wylie. The park features a four-lane concrete boat ramp with dock access, making it convenient for launching kayaks, canoes, and larger motorboats. To reach the park from Lavon, take Texas 78 north and look for the entrance on the west side of the road.

As part of the Lavon Lake recreation area, this access point provides entry to a substantial reservoir offering varied paddling opportunities. The park itself is modest in size, so amenities may be limited—plan accordingly for parking and facilities. Paddlers should be aware of lake conditions and any applicable boating regulations for Lavon Lake before heading out.
