About This Access Site
Manito Lake Conservation Area offers public boat access to a 77-acre lake in western Moniteau County near Fortuna. The conservation area features a dedicated boat ramp for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats, along with disabled-accessible parking and fishing jetties. The 871-acre conservation area provides a scenic setting for paddling and water recreation in a Missouri Department of Conservation area.

The lake is known for good catfish fishing and fair bass and sunfish populations, making it popular with anglers. In addition to boating, the area supports shoreline fishing, hiking, nature observation, and camping. Standard Missouri conservation area regulations apply—check current hunting and fishing seasons, regulations, and any area-specific restrictions before your visit. Facilities include a privy and designated parking areas.
