About This Access Site
Located two miles east of Emmaville in central Hubbard County, this main access point on the south side of Mantrap Lake's west basin provides two concrete boat ramps for easy launch and retrieval. This is one of two state-owned public accesses serving the lake and is the primary facility for motorized and paddle craft.

Mantrap Lake (Big Mantrap) is a substantial 1,618-acre water body with a maximum depth of 68 feet, offering plenty of room for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters to explore. The lake's size makes it suitable for various paddling skill levels, though paddlers should be prepared for potential wind and waves on a lake of this scale. The dual concrete ramps ensure adequate capacity during peak usage times, making this a reliable access point for both day trips and extended outings on one of the region's larger lakes.
