About This Access Site
Located on the south side of the west basin near Park Rapids, this is the main public access point for Mantrap Lake (Big Mantrap), a substantial 1,618-acre lake in central Hubbard County. The site features two concrete boat ramps, making it well-suited for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats. With a maximum depth of 68 feet, Mantrap Lake offers plenty of water for various paddling activities and fishing.

As a state-owned public access, this site provides reliable launching facilities for both day trips and extended paddling adventures. Note that there is a second public access point on Mantrap Lake if you prefer an alternative launch location. The lake's size means paddlers should be prepared for varying water conditions and plan routes accordingly. This is a popular destination for both recreational paddlers and anglers in the scenic Hubbard County area.
