About This Access Site
Located in Alexandria, Douglas County, this public boat ramp provides convenient access to Maple Lake, an 831-acre lake with a maximum depth of 78 feet. The north access features a concrete launching ramp, dock, and dedicated trailer parking, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. Most standard recreational boats (12-18 feet) can be launched here, and there are no launch fees.

The access site includes a picnic area for day-use visitors. Additional amenities around the lake include a fishing pier on the east side and a Boating Center offering rentals and supplies. For paddlers seeking a larger water body with good depth, Maple Lake offers plenty of room for exploration, while the dock facilities make entry and exit straightforward even for less experienced users.
