Located in Slidell off Highway 41, this Marina access point provides a recently renovated two-lane concrete boat ramp for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats onto the West Middle Pearl River. The improved concrete ramp (upgraded from a single-lane gravel facility) offers reliable access for various watercraft. Paddlers should note that Holmes Bayou joins the West Pearl River approximately 4 miles downstream, with the barge canal located just beyond that confluence.
This is an ideal launch point for exploring the Pearl River system, which features three locks and dams creating distinct pool sections suitable for day-use boating, fishing, and hunting. The area is primarily developed for daytime recreation, making it well-suited for paddling day trips. From the Marina ramp, paddlers can access upriver and downstream paddling routes along the West Middle Pearl River, with easy access to the broader Pearl River ecosystem nearby. Check current water conditions and any seasonal closures before planning your trip.
