About This Access Site
Mariners Park in Ellison Bay offers a convenient boat launch access point to Lake Michigan's Green Bay waters. Located at the northern tip of Door County, this site features a non-motorized launch ramp situated across from the parking area. The large grassy park provides ample space for launching kayaks, canoes, and small boats, and serves as an excellent vantage point for watching watercraft and enjoying scenic sunsets over the bay.

This access point is ideal for paddlers looking to explore the sheltered waters of Green Bay or venture into Lake Michigan. The area is close to two significant natural areas—Green Bay National Wildlife Refuge and Gravel Island National Wildlife Refuge—making it a great starting point for wildlife viewing and paddling excursions. To reach the site, take Highway 42 north and turn left on Garrett Bay Road; parking will be on your right. The protected bay waters make this location suitable for various skill levels, though paddlers should always check current wind and water conditions before launching onto Lake Michigan.
