Marion Lake

Marion Lake, located in the Ottawa National Forest near Watersmeet in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, offers a scenic boat launch for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters. The access point is situated off Forest Road 3985, approximately 1.5 miles north of US Highway 2 via Marion Lake Road (Forest Road 3980). The sparkling waters provide opportunities for paddling, fishing, and other water-based recreation in a protected forest setting.

**Fees and Facilities:** A day-use fee of $5 per vehicle applies from May 15 through October 15, with an annual pass option available for $30 (valid at multiple regional recreation areas). Fees are collected via self-registration; plan ahead to have cash available. Campers with paid campground sites are exempt from day-use fees.
