About This Access Site
Marshall Lake is a 190-acre lake situated at 2,728 feet elevation in Newport, Pend Oreille County, Washington. The public boat launch is located at the south end of the lake and provides the primary access point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. A Washington State DISCOVER Pass or Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife access pass is required to use the facility. Shoreline access is limited to the area immediately around the boat launch.

The lake is popular with anglers, as it is annually stocked with Westslope Cutthroat Trout. Paddlers should be aware that the lake also contains illegally-introduced populations of Largemouth Bass and Pumpkinseed Sunfish. The calm waters make Marshall Lake suitable for recreational paddling and fishing, offering a scenic mountain setting for a day outing.
