About This Access Site
**Location & Access:** Marshall Park is located at 2101 Allen Blvd in Middleton and provides a modern paved boat landing on Lake Mendota. The launch features both general boat ramp facilities and dedicated canoe/kayak launch areas. A **Lake Access Permit is required year-round** to park at this site—permits are mandatory for all improved lake access points in Madison, Monona, and Dane County.

**Amenities & Conditions:** The park offers fish cleaning stations and well-maintained facilities. Note that heavy summer boat traffic can create congestion, particularly since the launch is located in the park's central lagoon. A lagoon within the park also provides shore fishing opportunities in spring. **Parking on grass is strictly prohibited**, and when the launch lot reaches capacity, you must use an alternative access site to avoid citations.

**Tip for Paddlers:** If you're looking to rent equipment, Marshall Boats (also in West Madison) offers kayak and canoe rentals nearby, making this a convenient option if you don't have your own watercraft.
