Located in Rusk County near the Louisiana border, Martin Creek Lake's northern boat ramp offers convenient access to this scenic impoundment. The facility features a dedicated boat ramp, lighted fishing pier, and fish cleaning station, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters. A large parking lot is situated directly near the ramp, and picnic tables are available for day-use visitors.
**Important access note:** Non-camping visitors must obtain an overnight activity permit from the park office during business hours if planning to use the ramp or pier after standard hours. All non-permitted visitors must exit the park before the gates lock at 10pm. The park is approximately one hour from Shreveport via I-20 west and TX-43, with RV-friendly roads and ample parking throughout the facility.
