About This Access Site
This access point at Martin Dies Jr. State Park offers convenient boat launch facilities on B.A. Steinhagen Lake, a scenic reservoir in Tyler County within the Big Thicket region of Southeast Texas. The park features multiple boat ramps positioned throughout the property, with one located on the west side where Highway 190 crosses the reservoir. Parking is available for both vehicles and boat trailers at the campsites.

Paddlers and boaters will find excellent opportunities for exploration, with nearly 14 miles of paddling trails available across the lake, sloughs, and the Neches River. The area is ideal for kayakers and canoeists seeking a mix of lake and river paddling. The park also provides fishing access from shore and pier (no Texas state fishing license required). For those interested in extending their visit, camping is available on-site, and Campers Cove is another option within 10 miles.
