Mary Jane Thurston State Park in Grand Rapids offers excellent access to the Maumee River with two launch ramps and a full-service marina. Located near the park office, the launch ramps provide convenient entry points to approximately 20 miles of open water suitable for kayaking, canoeing, and motorboating. The park also offers equipment rentals, including kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards, making it an ideal destination for paddlers of all experience levels. The Maumee River in this area is scenic and popular with both recreational paddlers and anglers, offering some of Ohio's best stream fishing.
