Mascoma Lake

The Mascoma Lake boat ramp is a concrete launch located on the western shore at the south end of the Main Street Bridge in Enfield. This one-lane ramp features a gentle slope approximately 24 feet wide, making it suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and larger motorboats. The facility includes a dock and paved parking area, providing convenient access to this 1,158-acre freshwater lake.

Mascoma Lake is a deep, well-developed water body with a maximum depth of 68 feet, offering stable conditions suitable for paddling across its expanse. The lake is situated in the scenic Mascoma River watershed and provides good recreational opportunities for paddlers of varying skill levels. The area also offers alternative public access points at Shaker Bridge on Route 4A and at Lakeside Park on the east side of the bridge, giving paddlers multiple entry options.

The surrounding region offers additional recreation, including proximity to Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park and scenic gorge areas. The lake supports swimming, snorkeling, and other water activities, making it a well-rounded destination for a full day on the water.
