Matagorda Harbor is a full-service 60-acre facility located on the north side of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway at Mile Marker 440 WHL (also referenced as Mile Marker 400 from the waterway). The site offers **four paved boat ramps free to the public**, making it an excellent launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats accessing the Intracoastal Waterway and nearby coastal waters. The facility provides 24-hour waterway access and is well-equipped with amenities including a fuel dock, pump-out station, fish cleaning station, baitshop, restaurant, and public restrooms.
The Matagorda Harbor area serves as an ideal gateway to explore the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway's brackish and saltwater environments.
