About This Access Site
**Location & Access:** Matthews Boat Ramp is located on the north riverbank of Lake Sacajawea on the Snake River (mile 39), in Walla Walla County. The ramp is accessed by traveling 30 miles northeast of Pasco on the Pasco-Kahlotus Highway, then 5.2 miles southeast on Burr Canyon Road. This remote location offers access to a section of the lower Snake River in southeastern Washington's arid landscape.

**Water Conditions & Recreation:** Lake Sacajawea is a reservoir on the lower Snake River near the confluence with the Columbia River. The area is characterized by wide-open vistas with minimal tree cover and is suitable for a variety of water activities including kayaking, canoeing, boating, water-skiing, fishing, and swimming. Paddlers and boaters should be prepared for the remote nature of this access point and plan accordingly for conditions typical of the lower Snake River reservoir system.
