About This Access Site
Located in Whitehall near the midpoint of a popular Jefferson River float, Mayflower Bridge provides a convenient day-use boat launch and access point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. The 20-acre site accommodates both hand-launched craft and trailers, making it accessible for a variety of boaters. This location is particularly useful as an intermediate takeout if you're floating from Kountz Bridge, positioning you roughly two-thirds of the way through a scenic stretch of river lined with cottonwood bottoms.

The Jefferson River in this section features significant braiding with islands and multiple channels, so familiarize yourself with current conditions before launching. Mayflower Bridge is situated about 3-4 miles upstream from Cardwell Access, the next downstream takeout option. Day-use only regulations apply at this site, so plan your trip accordingly and be prepared to take out before dusk.
