Mccarrons Lake

**Location & Facilities**
McCarron Lake is a 73-acre lake located in Roseville at Lake McCarrons County Park (1845 Rice St, Saint Paul). The public boat launch is situated at the north end of Ramsey County Park and provides convenient access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The park offers ample parking for 150 vehicles, including three handicapped-accessible spaces, plus eight dedicated boat trailer parking spots.

**Lake Characteristics & Recreation**
With a maximum depth of 57 feet, McCarron Lake is suitable for a range of paddling experiences. The lake supports fishing for largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, and yellow perch, making it popular with anglers and recreational boaters alike. The park also features a swimming beach, playground, and sand play areas, making it a good destination for families combining paddling with other activities.

**Access Hours & Planning**
The park operates daily from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. during the season (early May through mid-November), with parking lot gates closing at 11 p.m. No overnight parking is permitted. The park is conveniently located near the Mississippi River pools, offering paddlers the option to explore additional water resources in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area.
