**Location & Facilities:** McCartney Park is a 21.5-acre day-use access area located on the southeast side of Harrisburg, Oregon, approximately 4 river miles north of the town center on the Willamette River. The park provides a boat ramp, day-use parking, and pit toilet facilities for visitors.
**Paddling Conditions:** This is a popular put-in for Willamette River access in the mid-valley region. Be aware that strong currents in this section (near River Mile 156) can make powered craft operation challenging. Paddlers heading upriver should note that the section above Corvallis contains significant snags and strainers that require careful navigation. The Willamette is a major river with substantial flow, so paddlers should have appropriate skills and experience before launching, particularly if traveling upstream or in higher water conditions.
**Planning Your Visit:** McCartney Park serves as a good access point for day-use boating and paddling trips on this section of the Willamette. Nearby recreation opportunities include the William L. Finley National Wildlife Refuge near Corvallis and Hult Reservoir. Contact local management for current information about water conditions, parking availability, and any seasonal closures before your visit.
