About This Access Site
McCausland Access provides public boat ramp access to the scenic Wapsipinicon River on a 10-acre undeveloped site near McCausland in Clinton County. Located east of McCausland on County Highway Z30, turn north on 340th Avenue and follow the road to the ramp. This access point is part of the larger Wapsipinicon River Trail system, making it a convenient launching point for kayakers and canoeists exploring this popular waterway.

The site offers basic amenities suitable for day paddling and boating activities. The undeveloped river bottom setting provides a natural atmosphere for accessing the Wapsipinicon River, which is known for scenic paddling conditions. Paddlers should be aware that this is a modest facility focused on water access rather than developed recreation infrastructure, so plan accordingly with supplies and parking.
