McIntosh Lake is a 110-acre lake located in Tenino, Thurston County, offering public access via a Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) boat launch on the north side of the lake. The access area features two well-maintained boat launching ramps, ample parking space, and pit toilets—making it a convenient stop for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. The launch is located just steps from the water, providing easy access for getting your vessel on the lake.
The lake supports naturally reproducing populations of largemouth bass, yellow perch, and brown bullhead catfish, making it popular with anglers as well as recreational paddlers. McIntosh Lake's relatively modest size makes it suitable for various water activities and paddling skill levels. This public access point is your primary option for launching on the lake, so it's worth checking conditions and arriving early during peak recreation periods to secure parking and ramp access.
