About This Access Site
McKinley Lane provides public access to Lake Graham, a 2,444-acre reservoir on Salt Creek located five miles north of Graham, Texas via US 380. The lake features a maximum depth of 45 feet and offers three public boat ramps throughout the facility, making it a well-developed access point for kayakers, canoeists, and larger boats. The site includes a fishing pier, picnic area, and both primitive and improved camping options for those planning extended visits.

Paddlers should note that Lake Graham is a power plant reservoir that operates seasonally based on demand, which means water levels and conditions may vary throughout the year. Winter fishing can be inconsistent due to the plant's operational schedule. The facility does not offer boat rentals or marina services, though a bait shop is located about two miles south on US 380. This access point is best suited for recreational paddling and fishing rather than remote wilderness paddling, given its reservoir character and developed amenities.
