About This Access Site
McPherson Slough is a 2-lane boat ramp located just outside Oak Grove Park on the southern end of Grapevine Lake, making it a convenient access point for paddlers and boaters exploring this popular Dallas/Fort Worth-area reservoir. The ramp features parking for 25 vehicles and benefits from a protected cove setting that shields watercraft from wind, though paddlers should note the ramp can be shallow during certain water levels.

This access point provides easy entry to Grapevine Lake, a centrally-located recreation area minutes from DFW Airport. The site includes a dock facility in addition to the boat ramp. To reach McPherson Slough from Northwest Highway in Grapevine, take Dove Road north to Dove Loop, then continue north to Oak Grove Park. If you need additional amenities or prefer different ramp conditions, several other boat launches operate within the park system, including the larger Dove Loop Ramp (2-lane, 65-space parking) nearby.
