About This Access Site
**Location & Access:** Meadow Creek is a public boat launch located one mile north of the Sandstone Visitor Center in Summers County, West Virginia. The ramp is situated at Meadow Creek Campground; take Exit 139 off I-64 and head north past the visitor center on Meadow Creek Road. Note that access requires crossing railroad tracks—use caution and avoid this route with large RVs or trailers.

**Facilities & Recreation:** This is a primitive, tent-only campground with 17 sites available on a first-come, first-served basis (no reservations). The ramp provides direct access to the New River, one of the continent's oldest rivers, which flows northward through dramatic canyons within New River Gorge National Park & Preserve. The area is ideal for kayakers and canoeists exploring whitewater sections of the New River. For more information, contact the facility at (304) 465-0508. The site is not ADA accessible.

The railroad crossing can be dangerous for larger RVs and trailers. RV camping is prohibited. The low grade railroad crossing is not suitable for extended wheelbase RVs such as motorhomes, fifth wheels and travel trailers etc. Campers...
