About This Access Site
Meaher State Park's boat ramp, located at the east end of this 1,327-acre park in Spanish Fort, provides access to the Blakeley River and the expansive Mobile-Tensaw Delta (approximately 20,323 acres of water). The ramp is open from 7 a.m. until sundown, with extended access available by contacting the park directly. Access to the dock area is included with the park's gate fee.

This is an excellent launch point for kayakers and canoeists exploring the Mobile Delta's unique wetland environment. The area supports abundant freshwater and saltwater fish species, making it popular with anglers. Those planning to fish should note that an Alabama freshwater fishing license is required. The park offers additional amenities including a 300-foot fishing pier with a 200-foot "T" extension, picnic areas, and modern camping facilities for those wanting to combine paddling with overnight stays.
