Menominee River Park Boat Launch

Menominee River Park in Porterfield provides public boat access to the Menominee River, a substantial waterway classified as a large river (Stream Order 7) with a significant drainage area of nearly 4,000 square miles. Paddlers should be prepared for moderate current conditions, as the river averages 4.71 feet/second flow with an overall gradient of 4.5 feet per mile. The concrete boat ramp is approximately 16 feet wide with ample parking available nearby. Note that there is no dock at this launch—kayakers and canoeists should place their craft at the water line, climb in, and push off with a paddle.
