About This Access Site
**Location & Access:** Mid Canon is located off Exit 240 on I-15 near Cascade, Montana. From the exit, head south on Bald Eagle Drive to Golden Eagle Drive (approximately half a mile). The boat ramp points downstream and can be difficult to spot from the river until you're very close, so plan accordingly if you're approaching by water.

**Facilities & Conditions:** This recreation area offers food trucks (daily noon-8 p.m.) and a General Store with sandwiches, drinks, and snacks. The ramp accommodates trailers up to 20 feet. The Missouri River stretch here features faster water with deep holes and scenic Rocky Mountain views—suitable for experienced paddlers and motorboats. Maximum stay is 7 days, and weapons discharge is prohibited year-round.

**Tips for Paddlers:** Plan your approach carefully, as the ramp's downstream orientation makes it less visible from the water. The faster current and deeper holes in this section demand caution, especially during high water. The nearby amenities make it a convenient stop for longer trips on the Missouri River.
