About This Access Site
The Middleton Boat Ramp provides public access to Lake Mendota, a large recreational lake in Dane County. The concrete launch features a durable, slip-resistant surface suitable for kayaks, canoes, motorboats, and sailboats. Street parking is available at the site, and seasonal piers operate from spring through mid-fall for easier boarding. A daily or annual permit is required year-round to launch, managed by Madison Parks.

Paddlers and boaters looking for additional services should note that Marshall Boats, located nearby, offers equipment rentals including kayaks (single and double), canoes, stand-up paddleboards, and pontoons, as well as group and private event arrangements during summer and early fall. The site is wheelchair accessible and provides picnic facilities. For the most current information on facility status and permit requirements, visit the City of Middleton Parks website.
