About This Access Site
Mid-Lake Kampground offers a well-developed boat ramp providing access to Toledo Bend Reservoir, a major impoundment straddling the Texas-Louisiana border. The facility includes amenities specifically useful for paddlers and boaters: a maintained boat ramp, fish cleaning station, swimming platform, and waterfront pavilion. Kayak rentals are available on-site through the campground store, making this a convenient option for those without their own paddle craft.

The campground itself operates as a private facility with RV and cabin accommodations available for those planning extended visits. While the site is located near Boles Field Campground (a Sabine National Forest facility with first-come, first-served camping at $6/night), specific fees and hours for the boat ramp access should be confirmed directly with Mid-Lake Kampground. Toledo Bend Reservoir is known as a popular fishing destination, so expect moderate recreational traffic, particularly on weekends.
