Rum River, Mille Lacs Kathio SPK State Water Acce*

Located in Vineland, this boat ramp provides access to the Rum River, a state-designated waterway that begins within the park and connects Ogechie and Shakopee lakes. The Rum River is known for its slow current and shallow water, making it ideal for family canoe and kayak trips as well as smaller fishing boats. This is a popular put-in point for paddlers beginning float trips down the historic 146-mile river as it winds south toward the Mississippi River.

The access site features the park's boat rental program, with canoes and kayaks available for those without their own watercraft. A primitive canoe campground is located near the landing, making it convenient for multi-day paddling expeditions. Amenities include parking, a boat ramp, and basic facilities. The site serves as a natural starting point for exploring the scenic, low-gradient Rum River corridor through this scenic state park setting.
