About This Access Site
Miller's Marina of Suwannee provides boat ramp access to the lower Suwannee River in Dixie County, Florida. This facility, located on the river's west bank, is designed primarily for small boats and paddlers. The ramp and surrounding land are managed by the Suwannee River Water Management District as part of the Roline tract within the Cypress Creek Conservation Area. From this launch point, paddlers can access both the Suwannee River and the Withlacoochee River.

**Navigation considerations:** If your vessel draws 3 feet or more, plan your launch for mid-tide or higher. The McGriff Channel on the northwest side of the Suwannee River is the recommended passage. The area is characterized by coastal marsh habitat and tidal influences as the river approaches the Gulf of Mexico.

The nearby Lower Suwannee National Wildlife Refuge offers excellent paddling opportunities, with 20 miles of river corridor and 30 miles of coastal marsh habitat available for exploration. This location serves as an ideal starting point for day paddles or longer expeditions into the lower river system and Gulf waters.
