Millerton Lake State Recreation Area

Millerton Lake State Recreation Area offers excellent boating and paddling opportunities on the scenic Millerton Lake. This large reservoir on the San Joaquin River features three well-equipped boat ramps, providing easy access for kayakers, canoeists, and powerboaters.

The two primary launch sites are located on the south side of the lake and feature spacious 10-lane ramps, allowing for efficient launching and loading. An additional 2-lane ramp is situated near the Meadows Campground on the north shore, extending nearly a quarter-mile to accommodate low water levels. Nearby campgrounds, including Aholul Group, Equestrian, and Ya-Gub-Weh-tuh, provide convenient overnight options for those seeking to spend more time on the water.
