Minnewaska Lake (Northwest #2)

This one-lane concrete boat ramp is located in the northwest section of Minnewaska Lake off Shorewood Lane. The ramp provides access to the 8,600-acre lake, a popular destination for kayakers, canoeists, and recreational boaters in Pope County. Note that this access point has no designated parking area, so plan accordingly before arrival.

Minnewaska Lake supports boats up to approximately 12-18 feet at most launch facilities on the lake. There are no launch fees at this access site. Paddlers should be aware that three public boat launches serve the lake, with additional options available at the Glenwood Boat Launch (northeast, with two lanes and docks) and Minnewaska Boat Launch West (southeast, with paved parking). Consider checking current water conditions and access status before your visit, and allow extra time if launching during peak-use periods.
