The Mogadore Reservoir Boat Stake Area in Suffield provides access to a substantial 1,104-acre reservoir formed by the damming of the Little Cuyahoga River. With a maximum depth of 24 feet and 27 miles of shoreline, this water body offers plenty of space for kayaking, canoeing, and recreational boating. The area is popular with anglers targeting largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, catfish, and other warmwater species, but paddlers will also find scenic shoreline and good water conditions.
**Important access note:** Mogadore Reservoir is divided into sections by bridges, which limits boat access. If you want to explore multiple sections of the reservoir, you'll need to paddle to another boat ramp and take out your boat to relocate. Plan your paddle route accordingly and confirm which section you can access from the Boat Stake Area. A marina nearby (Mogadore Boathouse) offers kayak and canoe rentals if needed, though it operates seasonally (April through Labor Day, roughly sunrise to sunset).
